21. Darren Smith

Darren began his footballing career with Hibernian before signing for Airdrie in 2007. He was part of the Airdrie side who won the Scottish Challenge Cup in 2008.

Since leaving Airdrie, Darren has spent time with Albion Rovers, Berwick Rangers, Kelty Hearts, Ballingry Rovers and Bonnyrigg Rose.

In more recent years he joined Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale, first time around, in 2015 where he was their captain before joining Gala Fairydean a year later, after three seasons as captain at Gala he returned to Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale before making the decision to move down the coast to Dunbar early in season 2021/22.

Darren combines his playing duties with a role as coach of Dunbar United U20s.
