Following a youth career at Raith Rovers and Livingston, Kevin first joined Dunbar United as a player under Willie Pearson in 2002.  His goal scoring record at Dunbar was unprecedented, he scored 96 times in 126 games for the Seasiders, and his goals helped The Seasiders win promotion in 2002/03.

After leaving Dunbar he had a successful time at Berwick Rangers, scoring 22 goals in 55 games in their 2006/07 third division victory. The next season he won the Scottish Junior Cup with Bathgate Thistle and two years later the East of Scotland League and Cup double with Whitehill Welfare. He ended his playing career with Dalkeith Thistle winning the SJFA South Division in 2011/12.

He won player of the year awards at Dunbar, Berwick, Bathgate, Whitehill and Dalkeith.

His coaching career began at Dalkeith as assistant to Willie Pearson before becoming Dalkeith manager.  His next move was to Tranent and then Bo’ness as assistant to Max Christie. His last role before joining Dunbar was as assistant to Ian Little at Berwick Rangers, a role which Kevin left in June 2021.

Kevin re-joined the Seasiders in July 2021.
