Grant Thomson to make 400th appearance

This weekend will see our Captain Grant Thomson make his 400th appearance for the Club, becoming only the fifth ever player in Dunbar United’s history to reach this monumental milestone.

Thommo made his debut on 20th May 2009 against Broxburn Athletic at Albyn Park, and will make his 400th appearance in our South Challenge Cup game against Peebles Rovers FC on Saturday 16th September. Last year, Grant had the experience of a lifetime with his Testimonial match last season against his boyhood club, Raith Rovers at New Countess Park.

Grant’s experience last season helped the Club win the East of Scotland First Division title and there was no prouder person to lift the champions trophy.

He now joins Dougie Elms, Jamie Congalton, Geoff Jones and John Hannan in the top five list of appearances for the Seasiders.
