Josh Walker joins the Seasiders

The club are delighted to confirm the signing of Josh Walker from Whitehill Welfare.

Equally comfortable at centre half or in the middle of the park, the big Geordie has had an incredible footballing career.  It started with Middlesbrough and he has also played for various other clubs in England including AFC Bournemouth and Watford.  In Scotland his career highlight was, most likely, putting Aberdeen ahead against Bayern Munich at the UEFA Cup in front of a packed Pittodrie.

Josh has also represented England at various youth levels and captained their team at the FIFA U20 World Cup.

Since taking the decision to go part time Josh captained Edinburgh City, before later joining Tranent as player / assistant manager a role held again with Whitehill Welfare.

Ironically, for the man from Newcastle, this will be his first time playing in the iconic Black and White stripes.

Josh’s shirt number will be number 23.
