Haynesy extends his contract
I was delighted to get another year added to my current contract. The Chairman, Stuart and I had spoken about it for a while and it was great to get it over the line.
I can’t speak highly enough of the club and board or committee members at this club. They have been nothing but supportive. No disrespect to anyone intended here but I feel like I have built a stronger squad than what I inherited, and I want the opportunity to work with them over the next 2 years at least.
We have players who have already committed up until the end of season 23/24, so why shouldn’t I show the club and the players the same commitment? We have lots to look forward to with such a progressive club and hopefully we can start to see the benefits of the Under 20’s side coming into the first team over the 2 years.
I also hope Dunny, Smally, Jinky, Ecky and Susan are also ready for another season, as all these guys have been a huge help to me in my first 15 months in charge of Dunbar United.
