An update from our Manager

I really can’t explain the feeling last week when I saw Deano’s second header hit the back of the net to put us on course for a historical win at NCP.  No matter what level you are involved in, and who the opponents are, to be 2-0 down with 15 minutes left and win the game is an incredible feeling.

I challenged the players on Saturday to have a real go at Linlithgow Rose and I thought we caused them problems without really working their goalkeeper. To a man every player was outstanding,  and I felt we fully deserved the win.

However the win did come at a cost as we have now lost Kieran Ingram for a few weeks after a heavy challenge,  and he joins Johnny Edmond on the medical table.  Midfielder Nicky Weir has joined Tynecastle till the end of the season,  and I would like to wish him well and thank him for his time with the club.

Tomorrow Afternoon we welcome Whitehill Welfare to New Countess Park in a match that both teams will be desperate to win. Whitehill can progress through the group stages if they are to win. If we can win tomorrow that would set us up for a chance to win the group ourselves against Ormiston in the rearranged fixture on Tuesday the 12th of April at New Recreation Park.

There is no doubt in my mind the huge league win last week was encouraged by the huge crowd attending to support the lads,  and I hope to see you again tomorrow,  it’s greatly appreciated by us all.

All the best

Kevin Haynes
