An update from our Manager

The Scottish Cup was a great distraction and a very engaging subject.  The exposure the club has received due to the competition,  and the support the community has given us has been great, realistically we were never never going to win the cup and an exit was always on the cards at some stage.

I can’t fault the players for their effort over the second round matches, and I think the referee ruined the replay for us when two massive decisions in the game went against us.

That’s football though.  Bad luck usually gets evened out with good luck at some stage in the season so I’m not going to dwell on it.  With us being out of all cup competitions,  we can now  focus solely on climbing the league table.

We must start looking up the table and focus on catching the teams above us. Currently we have no injuries although we are still missing a few players due to weddings and weekends away.

With three away matches next up on the cards,  I hope the great support we have received recently continues to support us and helps the lads towards picking up very valuable points in what is a difficult sevens days ahead, starting off with tomorrow’s EoSFL league game away from home against Dundonald Bluebell.

Take care
