An update from our Manager
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Andy Colley, and his Camelon team, to New Countess Park for tomorrow afternoon’s Scottish Cup first round tie.
We have already had a closely fought encounter this season and I felt there was not much between the teams that day and, with a bit of luck, we could have taken a point from what I thought was an even match.
Playing against Andy’s teams over the years I know he will have an organised team who are very effective going forward.
Ever since the first round draw was made, it is something everyone has been looking forward to. The town has been decorated in posters advertising the match and the BBC have shown an interest by sending a camera crew to film the occasion for their show “A View from the Terrace”.
The Scottish Cup is such a big occasion for our club, and as the new boys this year there is a real buzz with every game we play.
The committee has been working tirelessly again, making it an occasion for everyone to enjoy, and I hope we can get a result to reward everyone.
I loved the reaction the players received leaving the pitch against Broxburn in the last round and I hope to see the lads applauded off the park once more at quarter to five.
Take care,
KH
