An update from our Manager

It’s been nice not having a midweek game this week, and spending time with the lads on the training pitch since our narrow defeat at Jeanfield. We have lots to work on, with very little time to work on it.

I thought we played really well last Saturday against a good Jeanfield side, and caused them a lot of problems. On another day we could have easily scored 3 or 4 goals with the chances we created.

Goals change games, and had Fraser Mclaren’s goal stood in the first half,  or if his chance one minute before Jeanfield scored had went in the back of the net,  I am very confident we would have come back down the road with more points on the table.

We are back to 5 games in the next 14 days including Hill of Beath Hawthorn in the league tomorrow who are always a dangerous side. They haven’t started well,  but they will click at some point.

On Tuesday we have a tough cup tie against a flying Leith athletic. They are unbeaten this season and have a run of 15 wins on the spin since last seasons competitive games. Leith beat us during the pre season campaign,  so we have a score to settle in that one.

As always, I would love it if the DUFC supporters can come along to NCP this week, and cheer on the lads through the next two difficult games.
