An update from our Manager

The Scottish Cup is the most prestigious cup competition we can be involved in, and this is a tournament where lifetime memories can be made.

If you were to ask any player who has competed in the tournament they will tell you that you get an extra buzz about your football during Scottish Cup week. We thoroughly enjoyed our maiden season in the competition and I hope we can enjoy this one even more so.

Tomorrow we take on Vale of Leithen at Victoria park, and this is a game which many people will look at us as being the favourites. I personally think that is wrong as they compete in a division higher than us and did so last season too.

Michael Wilson is building a new squad and has brought in decent players. They are a team who are improving every week and will believe they will progress in the competition for the reason that I have stated above.

We have a game plan, and we have spoken about how we can win the tie and progress to the next round.  We have players missing tomorrow through injuries, holidays plus another injury was picked up last night at training which really isn’t ideal.

It would be great to see a big travelling Dunbar support tomorrow cheer on the boys. We must have been close to 2000 total spectators in our Scottish Cup games last season and I would love to see similar numbers.

All the best
