An update from our Manager

With having no fixture to play last Saturday,  I felt it was important to get a friendly during the week to keep up our match sharpness. We had a few players needing the minutes who are not quite up to pace having either picked up injuries, being unwell or managing existing injuries.

It was a decent run out on Tuesday against Conference B side Easthouses Lily,  and we scored a couple of good goals. Particularly a good team goal finished by Fraser Neave and another cracking finish from Jonesy.

We had a good night’s training last night working on a couple of things that I feel we need to be better at and the boys were great. The only negative last night was potentially another injury to deal with. We will know more about the extent of that today/tomorrow.

Tomorrow we welcome Dundonald Bluebell to New Countess Park,  and ironically it’s forecast to be as windy as the reverse fixture which we lost heavily,  so a much needed performance from our boys is certainly required.

It would be great to see a strong support at the match tomorrow,  and give the squad that twelve man advantage. Dunny, the lads and myself really appreciate your continued support week in week out, so please get along to NCP and support the boys.
