An update from our Manager
This week I’d like to extend a warm welcome to NCP to Musselburgh Athletic and particularly Joe Hamill and his coaching staff.
Joe has inherited what was already a very good side and I’m sure he is only going to make them better.
I know how hard it is coming into a club early in the season and I can guess that he won’t yet know what his best team is. Whatever players he picks I know they will be organised and possess a massive threat to us.
Equally I believe we have a massive threat in our team and this should have the making of a good match.
After Tuesday night’s cup loss, to Leith Athletic, I am looking for a reaction from our players and for them to put on a decent performance for the supporters and everyone else associated with the club. We let ourselves down in the match and we are looking to right some wrongs.
Our match against Hill of Beath last Saturday was seen as two points dropped and we could have been going into this game today above Musselburgh.
That said, a win on Saturday would see us leapfrog Musselburgh and potentially end the day in third spot if results go our way. What an achievement that would be, so early in the season.
I hope everyone enjoys the match.
Take care
Kevin Haynes, DUFC
