An update from our Manager

A mixed bag this week saw us picking up 3 points from 6 when we could have possibly picked up more.

The game against Camelon was a match with very little chances for both teams, and if we had been awarded the penalty, which I feel we deserved when Darren Handling was fouled in the box last at the last minute, then we could have been heading to Perth tomorrow to face Jeanfield Swifts undefeated.  But that’s football as they say.

The way the boys bounced back on Wednesday was great. Changes were made to the team and the guys who came in were outstanding. It was an odd game as I felt Lothian Thistle HV had a lot of the ball without causing us much bother and LTHV couldn’t complain if he had scored 5 or 6 goals.

Jamie Devlin’s header was unlucky to be chopped off, and two great efforts from Thommo, then Jones who hit the bar could have made the result look a lot more comfortable than it actually was.

We all look forward to travelling up to Perth tomorrow on the team bus… it’s been a long time since that has happened!  Our opponents Jeanfield Swifts are always a top side and, while we appreciate it’s a long way, we would love it if some of our fellow Seasiders can travel along to the ground to cheer us on.
