An update from our Board Chair Stuart Robertson

Thank you once more to all of our supporters, volunteers and sponsors for all of your incredible backing over the course of 2021.

2021 has been a fantastic year for the club, attaining our SFA licence, making our senior Scottish Cup debut, competing strongly in the Premier League and both developing and gaining approval for our plans to build a stand at New Countess Park.

It was fantastic to see fans finally return to New Countess Park in June when we opened the curtain on a new season.  The support we have had from you all since then has been fantastic and we are ending the year with an average gate of 275.  Hopefully by adding a stand we can make the ground even more accessible and increase this further next year.

It was inspiring on Thursday to see the HUGE extension at our home in Hallhill taking shape,  and it also provided an insight into what match days will be like for our fans and visitors in future.  It was also great to see a young DUFC Colts player on the bench for the second time this season, again hopefully a glimpse into the future for the club.

We’ve ended the year in the top half of the table, and with seven of our remaining eleven games to go due to take place at New Countess Park we’re on track for our strongest East of Scotland Premier League season so far.  Well done to the players and management for their hard work on the training field and crucially on the park on match days.

We hope to bring you more good news on the progress of our stand project, and of course on player contracts for next season in the coming weeks and months.  Meanwhile our social media and website will keep you up to date with the fantastic photos, videos and news that you’ve come to expect from the club.

Huge thanks to you all for all your support in 2021.  We hope to see a big Dunbar crowd at Foresters Park, Tranent for the next East Lothian Derby a week on Saturday.
